    The penultimate wireless caravan reversing camera

    After disappointing results with a couple of Ebay units I wanted a no hassle, wireless reversing camera that just worked. I chose Engalon due to their long held reputation for providing quality components specifically designed for the RV market and the fact that their product had the best specifications of all models researched.

    The item was delivered to our regional NSW address within a week. On initial inspection, I was impressed by the very high quality build and feel of both the screen and camera. Installation was very easy, taking only a few minutes. On powering up I was very impressed by the amazing quality and clarity of the images, despite the van being in the yard and the vehicle inside an enclosed garage.

    With a transmission range of up to 500m and guaranteed effective operational range of 120m whilst travelling, no other product comes close. Whilst we are yet to use the device on the road, I have no doubt it will perform as described. My only criticism is that the included operational booklet is pretty useless as it is a terrible Chinese - English translation and information is very limited and basic. Thankfully, the unit is fairly intuitive and it took only a couple of minutes to figure out how everything worked.

    It would be nice if there was also the option of a U bracket to mount the screen instead of only the suction mount. Also, a very handy option would be the availability of compatable additional small form, short range transmission cameras that could…
