How Do I Set Up My Smart TV?
  • Please check that your Wi-Fi is switched on and note that you need to sign up for a Google (Gmail) account to access the Play Store. 
  • Press the Input button on the TV remote to bring up the side menu on the TV.
  • Use the arrow buttons to navigate down until the Android/Smart TV icon is highlighted. Please note it may located on the 2nd page of the input list.
  • Press OK on the remote and you’ll see a Welcome page. Wait until this page disappears before continuing. 
  • On the Main Menu, you’ll see Play Store, Explorer, Apps, Settings and Web Icons. Use the arrow buttons on the remote to go to Settings and press OK.
  • Then go to the Devices, Preference, Remote & Accessories page and highlight the network icon by pressing OK
  • This will bring up the Devices Network screen. Press the OK button to bring up all the available networks in the area.
  • Use the arrow buttons on the remote to choose your router or wireless connection by highlighting the correct one and pressing OK.
  • Use the arrow button to enter the password for the Wi-Fi connection you’re going to use.
  • Once you’ve correctly entered the password, you’ll see that your TV has connected to your Wi-Fi or Mobile Hot Spot or your cable connection.
  • Please ensure that your network (Wi-Fi router) is switched on.
  • Once you are connected, you can exit the Settings page by pushing the Exit button on your remote. 
  • Highlight the App Icon to see the pre-loaded apps on the TV.
  • By using the Play Store, you may download any free or paid app of your choice, as long  you have a Google Account (Gmail) linked to your Smart TV. 
How Do I Get Netflix On My ENGLAON Smart TV?

All of our ENGLAON Smart TVs are pre-loaded with Netflix, which can be launched with the remote.

To use Netflix, you need a minimum Internet connection of 2MB/S and a streaming service membership. Internet usage charges and conditions apply.

Can I Connect My Smart TV To A Phone Hotspot?

Of course! All our Smart TVs have built-in Wi-Fi and so they’re able to pick up phone hotspots and any valid Wi-Fi networks.

How Do I Connect My Smart TV To Wi-Fi?

If you’re searching for a wireless connection, please go to Settings / Wi-Fi Menu. You should be able to search for your surrounding Wi-Fi network. Then select the network you want and enter your Wi-Fi password.

If you can’t find your Wi-Fi network, you may need to restart your TV’s Wi-Fi settings and the Wi-Fi router. It may sometimes be necessary to check that your Wi-Fi router has the latest firmware.

If you’re using an ethernet connection, please make sure your TV is connected to a modem/router via an ethernet cable, and make sure the ethernet is selected in the TV’s Settings menu.

Why Do My Video Streaming Apps Keep On Stopping During Playback? Or Why Is My Video Quality Low?

Your Internet speed might be too slow. You’ll need a minimum Internet speed of 2MB/S to use streaming services. 

Check your wireless connection and consider moving the wireless router closer to the TV.

If possible, connect your TV to the router using an ethernet cable. This will give you a higher speed for streaming.

Why Is A Certain App Suddenly Not Working?

Sometimes apps need to be upgraded. This may be because the app developer has made some changes or upgrades recently. If this occurs, contact ENGLAON Customer Service on 03 9877 7318 or via email at [email protected] and they’ll advise you about when an update is available.

Do ENGLAON's Smart TVs Support Mirror Cast?

All ENGLAON current models (since 2019) support Miracast. This means that all the HD video and music content from your Android Powered Smart devices can be wirelessly displayed on your TV screen.

How Do I Get ENGLAON's TV Air Remote To Connect To My ENGLAON Smart TV?

You need to insert the remote dongle into the Network USB on the TV. There is a Network USB next to Ethernet/RJ45 Input. 

Then you need to insert the battery into the air remote and press the Air Mouse button on the remote to activate the mouse pointer function.

How Do I Mirror My Smart Phone’s Screen Onto My TV?

Note: The Android powered smart device you want to mirror and your ENGLAON smart TV both need to be on the same Wi-Fi Network.

On your ENGLAON Smart TV, please go to the Android menu using the remote control and look for the MIRACAST Icon. Then use the remote control arrow to select the icon and press OK. 

On your smart device, click on Screen Mirroring / Smart View Setting and select the device you want to connect with.

If you have the early version of Android, you’ll need to download the EZCast App from Google Play Store. Once this is installed, sync the devices.

Will I Be Able To Receive Free-To-Air Channels That Are Available In My Local Area With This TV?

Definitely! You can enjoy your local free-to-air channels with all ENGLAON LED TV models because they include an integrated HD digital TV Tuner.

What Is An EzyAccess USB Port?

ENGLAON’s EzyAccess USB port is a standard cable connection interface that supplies power from the ENGLAON 12V RV Range of LED TVs to any other personal smart devices and consumer electronics devices running up to 5V 2A.

These supply power only and don’t have digital data transfer capabilities. 

What Warranty Is Offered With This Unit?

ENGLAON’s TVs are covered by a General Warranty valid for 12 months from date of purchase. This also includes a “ZERO BRIGHT ZERO DEAD” pixel guarantee for one year. 

You’re welcome to extend your warranty for up to 5 years on request.

What Does DATABASE EMPTY Mean? How Do I Access HD Free-To-Air Channels?

ENGLAON’s TVs support the HD free-to-air channels that can be accessed or retuned by pressing the AutoTune button on the remote. This button will scan all of the TV channels in your area.

How Do I Activate And Deactivate The Subtitles?

You’ll need to press the Subtitle button on the remote once, and then the subtitles menu will appear on the screen.

Press the right arrow key to select Subtitles ON, and then press OK. This will activate the subtitle function for you (if the channel supports subtitle function).

The same procedure is required to turn off and deactivate subtitles.

Can My ENGLAON TV Be Wall Mounted?

Almost all of ENGLAON’s TVs are wall mountable. On the back of the TV you’ll be able to see the VESA compatible mounting hole that tells you where the mounting bracket can be installed.

Please note that our Standard Waterproof Series requires recess installation and doesn’t support wall mount installation.

My TV Remote Control Isn’t Working Or Is Lost/Damaged. What Can I Do?

We suggest replacing the batteries with new ones and also checking that the batteries are inserted correctly. Try pointing the remote closer to the TV and press any button on the remote to test if this has resolved the issue. 

Here’s a simple test to check if your remote control is sending infra-red signals:

Use any mobile phone camera and point your TV remote control under the camera lens. Now press any key on the remote control. If your remote is working, you should see the remote control infra-red sender flashing.

Where Do I Get A Universal TV Control Code For My TV?

ENGLAON TVs aren’t compatible with universal TV remote controls. To order a replacement remote control, please get in touch via the Contact Us Page or contact ENGLAON’s Customer Service team on 03 9877 7318 or via email at [email protected]

How Is This TV Powered (12V/240V)?

The ENGLAON 12V RV Range of LED TVs have been specifically designed for RV use, so they include a 12V DC car lead that connects to the 12V socket in your RV. If you’re at an RV Park or at home and want to run your LED TV from 240V AC Mains Power, simply use the 240V power adaptor supplied with the TV.

What Is The Voltage Range That Is Suitable For This TV To Operate On?

Because the ENGLAON 12V RV Range of LED TVs have been especially designed for the RV industry, they have a wide voltage range of 10V DC – 32V DC. This range protects your LED TV from voltage spikes that can occur when you connect TVs to battery chargers, or even when using a generator or solar chargers.

Why Is The Power LED Light Green, But There Is No Sound Or Picture?

If there’s no picture, it means that your TV isn’t receiving a transmission. Check your aerial lead isn’t damaged and that it’s connected correctly. If the problem persists, then press the Menu button on your TV or remote control. If the Menu appears on the screen, the wrong source may have been selected. Press the Source button on your TV or remote control and select the source you require.

My ENGLAON TV Is Not Turning On, What Should I Do?

Some ENGLAON TVs have a mains power switch located under the front of the screen. You’ll need to check that this switch is turned on after plugging the TV into a working power outlet.

I Have No Power On My TV, What Should I Do ?

Make sure the mains power is connected properly, and see if the stand-by light is on (it’s normally red). 

Please note that some of our TV models may have a mains power switch. Make sure that this switch is turned on. 

If your TV is in stand-by mode, check the batteries in the your remote, or try the Power button on the side of your TV.

If the TV standby light goes off when you press the Power button, press the Menu button on the remote and see if the TV menu comes up. It might just be a broadcast problem if can see the menu.

Why Do I Have No Power On My TV?

Check if there’s a green standby light on the TV Main power pack or 12V car lead.

Contact ENGLAON’s Customer Service team if there’s no standby light on the TV, or if there IS a standby light but the TV still won’t turn on with the remote or TV Power button. 

How Can I Record My Favourite TV Shows? Do I Need A DVD/HDD Recorder?

To take advantage of your TV’s built-in recording system, simply plug in a USB flash drive or a portable hard drive. You can record instantly by pressing the Rec button on the remote. This will record whatever you’re watching directly to the device you’ve plugged in.  

If you’d like to use the timer to record, please set this up by using the EPG function. 

Please note that it’s not possible to watch one channel while recoding another. 

What Size USB HDD Should I Use If I Want To Use The RECORD Option On The TV?

The LED TV 1 x Media USB (5V 0.5A) is able to work with 1GB-500GB drives. Keep in mind that the USB port has a limited power output, so drives that are USB Self Powered are the most suitable.

Remember that the bigger the drive, the more power it requires. This means you’ll need an extra power supply cable for larger drives to operate correctly. In this case, use the EzyAccess USB port (5V 2A power out) on the TV.

How Many Shows/Recordings Can A USB HDD Store?

There are a number of factors that can influence this. For an example, a 100GB USB HDD can hold up to 44 hours of Standard Definition Digital TV recording or up to 12.5 Hrs of High Definition Digital TV recording.

Can I View Photos Of My Holiday On This LED TV?

Yes, of course! There are several ways to view Photos/images on your TV. We suggest the following:

For a Smart TV model, simply connect your Android smart devices wirelessly by using the Miracast app or Chrome Cast app on the TV.

For a non-smart TV model, please load your images onto a USB HDD drive and connect to the Media USB on the TV.

Why Is The DVD Player Not Reading My Disc?

When inserting DVDs, you’ll need to make sure the TV is in DVD mode. Double-check that the disc is a DVD and not a Blu-ray disc instead.

Check that the label side of the DVD is facing towards the back of the TV, with the shiny side of the DVD facing forwards towards the screen. Can I Connect My Headphones To This LED TV?

Absolutely! Our LED TVs have a dedicated headphone output socket (3.5mm stereo).

Please note that using the headphone functionality will mute the LED TV speakers.

Can I Connect This LED TV To My Internal RV Speakers?

Yes, you definitely can! You can do this in a variety of ways: 

  • Via the Coaxial Digital output 

(If you have an amplifier with this input on board) 

  • Via the Composite AV Audio output from the TV 

(Connects to your AM/FM Receiver. If this has an AUX Input 

then note that this is a Fixed level Audio output)     

  • Via the Headphone output socket from the TV 

(Connects to your AM/FM Receiver. If this has an AUX Input, 

then note that this operation will mute the LED TV Speakers)

  • Bluetooth Audio Out

Connects to your Bluetooth Enabled Soundbar / Speakers

(Your TV needs to be Bluetooth enabled)

Why Is There No Sound Coming Out Of My TV?

Has your TV been set to Mute?  Try Pressing the Vol+ key on the remote.

Have your headphones been connected to the TV and not removed? Note that when Headphones are connected to the LED TV, they’ll mute the LED TV Speakers.

How Do I Pair My TV With ENGLAON's 12V Bluetooth Sound Bar / My Bluetooth Enabled Speakers?

Some ENGLAON TV models have an optional Bluetooth Audio Out function.

Press the Pair button and hold it for about 5 seconds to enter Bluetooth pairing mode. The blue LED will start to blink when Ready to Pair (from the soundbar).

Now on your ENGLAON TV, press the Bluetooth button on the TV remote control and set the soundbar to pair. Once connected, you’ll hear “Connected”.

Now you should be able to hear the TV’s sound through the soundbar.
